Description

A naturally juicy steak cooked to perfection and paired with a rich, creamy garlic sauce. Simple, flavorful, and perfect for a cozy night in or a special dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye or New York strip steaks (11.5 inches thick)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter (for cooking)
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper1 tbsp fresh parsley or thyme (chopped)


Instructions

  1. Preparing the Steak
    • Choose well-marbled steak (ribeye or NY strip). Pat dry.
    • Season generously with coarse salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Cooking the Steak
    • Heat a cast-iron skillet or grill until very hot.
    • Sear steak 3–5 minutes per side for a golden crust.
    • Check doneness with thermometer (Medium Rare: 130–135°F, Medium: 135–140°F).
    • Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
  3. Making the Creamy Garlic Sauce
    • In a pan, melt butter over medium heat.
    • Add garlic and cook until fragrant (1 minute).
    • Stir in heavy cream, simmer gently until thickened.
    • Season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
  4. Serving
    • Plate steak and spoon creamy garlic sauce over the top.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme.

Notes

Use ribeye for maximum juiciness, or NY strip/sirloin for leaner cuts.

Do not overcook garlic (it will turn bitter).

Let steak rest before slicing to keep juices inside.
