Description
A rich, decadent, and naturally gluten-free flourless chocolate cake. Made with just a handful of ingredients, it delivers an intensely chocolatey, fudgy, and melt-in-your-mouth experience. Perfect for celebrations or an indulgent treat at home.
Ingredients
8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
1 cup granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
(Optional toppings: cocoa powder, powdered sugar, fresh berries, whipped cream)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment.
Melt chocolate and butter together in a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
Remove from heat and whisk in sugar until combined.
Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla extract and salt.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft.
Let the cake cool completely in the pan before removing.
Dust with cocoa powder or serve with berries/whipped cream.
Notes
Do not overbake; the center should remain slightly soft for a fudgy texture.
Use high-quality chocolate for best results.
Cake improves after resting; the flavor deepens the next day.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3–4 days.
