Description

A rich, creamy, and chocolatey mousse made lighter and healthier with protein-packed cottage cheese. This guilt-free dessert is quick to make, customizable, and perfect for a satisfying sweet treat any time.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sweetener of choice (honey, maple syrup, or sugar-free alternative)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk or almond milk (as needed for consistency)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: chocolate chips, berries, or nuts

Instructions

  1. Add cottage cheese, cocoa powder, sweetener, vanilla, and salt into a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. If too thick, add milk 1 tablespoon at a time.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness or chocolate intensity.
  4. Transfer mousse into serving dishes.
  5. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Garnish with toppings such as berries, chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of cocoa powder.

Notes

Use a high-speed blender for the smoothest mousse.

For extra richness, use full-fat cottage cheese.

Peanut butter, peppermint extract, or coffee powder can be blended in for flavor variations.

Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 2 days.
