Description
Rich, chewy chocolate cookies packed with peanut butter chips for the perfect sweet-and-salty flavor combo. A quick, easy, and irresistible treat for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
- 1 cup peanut butter chips
Instructions
- Cream butter & sugars. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (3–5 minutes).
- Add wet ingredients. Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- Mix dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in chips. Stir in chocolate chips and peanut butter chips.
- Chill. Cover dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
- Bake. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Bake 9–11 minutes, until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.
- Cool. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Chill the dough for thicker, chewier cookies.
Use high-quality cocoa powder and chips for the best flavor.
Add chopped nuts, pretzels, or espresso powder for variations.
Cookies store well at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
